Northern Light features the highly popular raised pilothouse behind a Portuguese bridge. AFT is the main saloon and cockpit with full side decks for passengers to move from the bow to the stern without entering the accommodations.
The engine room boasts a Lugger 600 horsepower main engine and a Lugger LP 445T 130 horsepower wing engine. The wing engine is used to propel the yacht while service is performed on the main engine at sea. The water and fuel tanks add further structural strength to the aluminium hull along with a 10mm aluminium plating forward should a grounding or collision occur.
Efficient performance is insured by the round-bilged bottom with a single spray rail and a moderate prismatic coefficient of 0.647. The round bilge transitions to a chine AFT making the yacht more efficient at top speed. A full-length keel protects the propeller and rudder. The stern shape has been designed to reduce the roll, making the yacht more comfortable. This also adds to fuel efficiency and range because the stabilizers are not relied upon as much.
The interior design boasts quality and comfort. The main saloon has large windows for passengers to relax and admire the views. The deck and sheltered Portuguese bridge may be accessed through doors both port and starboard.
The accommodations are beneath the pilothouse extending forward into the bow. Northern Light offers four double cabins and three heads, two of these have separate shower stalls. The owner's cabin may be accessed either from the pilothouse or separately from the main saloon.
